Society for Social Service-SSS is a non-government development organization. A group of likeminded, enthusiastic and dedicated young social workers formed SSS in 1986 with the goal of improving the socio-economic condition of the destitute and disadvantaged people of the country and establishing justice and peace. In view of integrated development concept, SSS has been implementing diversified innovative and development-friendly programs in the working area to ensure alleviating poverty and sustainable amelioration. Till June 2016, SSS has stretched its working area in 10224 villages, 1182 Unions, 119 Municipalities, and 169 Upazilas under 27 Districts of Bangladesh. The activities are being implemented through 12 Zone, 51 Area, 305 Branch and 6 other offices at field level. Vision of Society for Social Service-SSS establishing impartiality and peace in the society through socio-economic development of rural and urban people. SSS has been implementing development activities covering about 5 lac families (A total of 4,86,037 beneficiaries; 1,712 are children, 9,373 male and 4,74,952 female) right now. Development and welfare programs are being put into operation addressing these families as a solitary family of SSS. It has already crossed the border of microcredit and entered the broader arena of microfinance schemes. investments, insurance, remittance, and technological supports along with credit facilities are being provided to our group members.
