The Defense Ministry consists of three unified military services in Bangladesh – Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy and Bangladesh Air Force. Currently, the UN peacekeepers are employed by the members of Bangladesh Armed Forces in 8 (08) countries. At present, one of the world’s largest soldiers is Bangladesh.
The Armed Forces Division provides an extension to the Prime Minister’s Office for the formulation of the policy, and the government approval for establishment of the Armed Forces and the coordination between the Service Headquarters. It is a combination of the issues of all the offices related to the Armed Forces and the main body of important administrative matters. Under the direct supervision and guidance of the Prime Minister, there are authorities, instructions and controls on executive and administrative matters.
