Oxfam is looking for dynamic team player for its Enterprise Development Programme under Programme department:
It is 3 (three) years fixed term position based Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Program Officer (Enterprise Development)

This is mid level managerial position and the incumbent reports directly to Economic & Private Sector Coordinator.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Implement project activities; Plan, develop, design, implement, monitor and evaluate the EDP and  value chain projects link with joint country analysis strategy (JCAS) and global Aim-1
Support and guide on the development of smallholder producer organizations and small scale enterprises to develop business plan, financial projection, financial analysis and business management. Manage partnership, provide technical and monitoring support to partners, preparing reports and mainstreaming gender and CCA issues in the project.
Qualification and other requirements:
  • BBA/ MBA in Finance/ Marketing or MS in economic from any reputed university with minimum 5 years of project management and implementation and at least 3 years experience in enterprise and value chain development project.
  • Strategic programme design and management experience, including demonstrable planning, knowledge management and innovation skills;
  • Experience in financial projection is essential and strong knowledge on enterprise development, business plan and management, financial analysis, income statements and cash-flows.
  • Experience in negotiating loan agreement and negotiating agreement with the Private Sector would be an asset
  • Good understanding on markets, sub-sector analysis and value chain promotion
  • Knowledge and experience of women economic leadership, CCA and DRR programming for smallholder producers
  • Working experience with private and public sectors to build the capacity  and link with smallholder producer organizations and  small enterprises
  • Experience of partnership development, nurturing and management and alliance building and maintenance across actors and sectors
  • Financial management, including leadership and influencing skills, willing to work in team.
  • Knowledge and understanding of diversity, cultural and political sensitivities.
  • An ability and willingness to work towards deadlines, in a planned and inclusive way
  • Well-developed analytical and planning skills
  • Demonstrable communication, facilitation and representation skills (in English and local language preferably).
Reward & Benefits: An amount BDT 873,100 will be paid per annum gross with other benefits e.g. medical, provident fund and gratuity etc.
